David Raab

Born 1983. I started coding around the age of 13-15 (don't know the exact year anymore). I learned different languages in the following order: C, C++, Perl, JavaScript, C# and F#.

Most of my time (+10 years) i spent developing Web Applications in Perl (Moose, Catalyst, MySql) and JavaScript (Dojo Toolkit, Qooxdoo). Around 2008 i came into contact with Functional Programming, first with the excellent book Higher-Order Perl (you can download it for free).

This shaped my thinking a lot, as i got more and more interested into functional programming and into functional languages. After my first contact with C# shortly afterwards i learned about F# and today i now primarily learn and use F#. I also blog about programming, currently most is F# related.
